Bruce Gibson

Director of Brand Expansion and Distribution for Entertainment Studios and The Weather Group

Bruce Gibson serves as Director of Brand Expansion and Distribution for Entertainment Studios and The Weather Group. He oversees relationships, contract negotiations/management, and marketing initiatives with top corporate and independent distribution partners. He’s is focused on achieving high revenue goals while building brand loyalty for The Weather Channel and the Entertainment Studios brands. He is also instrumental in working with online video partners to distribute content and create apps for their new video platforms.

Bruce has over 25 years of experience in the industry focusing on marketing, sales, and product management. Prior to joining the company, Bruce served at Knology in the corporate marketing department overseeing the video product for nearly a decade for the company’s twelve markets. He negotiated programming and product agreements for launch, created channel line-ups, formulated the pricing for video and bundle packages, launched VOD, conducted sales trainings, and handled marketing communications for acquisition and retention. Earlier in his career, he managed marketing departments for several cable operators.

Bruce has been heavily involved in many industry organizations. He served as a board member for CTAM’s Advanced Cable Solutions Consortium, CTAM Georgia Chapter, and Georgia Cable Association. He has also been an active member for many years with WICT and NAMIC. Bruce holds a BA in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University. In his off-time, you will find Bruce hosting/producing podcasts and performing in improv theaters. He and his wife, Merrill, live in Alpharetta, GA with their two children, Madison and Amanda.
