Senior Vice President of Distribution The Weather Channel Television Network

Brittany Esparza serves as Senior Vice President of Distribution at The Weather Channel Television Network. She focuses on contract negotiation, account management and maximizing distribution revenue for The Weather Channel, Local Now, and Weatherscan. She works with key distribution customers to gain a clear understanding of partner priorities and key personnel to align The Weather Group resources appropriately across multiple disciplines. She oversees day-to-day interactions to build the company’s value proposition at the corporate level. With the recent purchase of The Weather Channel by Entertainment Studios, she now oversees distribution of the 7 Entertainment Studios networks as well.

Before joining The Weather Channel, Esparza was vice president of client service at Javelin Direct, Inc. Prior to relocating back to Atlanta in 2009, she served as head of content acquisition for Virgin Media Television and also worked at ESPN Classic Sport Ltd. in London. Previously she worked in various sales positions at AMC Networks including regional director for the central and southern regions and at The Travel Channel cable network. Esparza received a bachelor’s degree in English from Duke University, including time studying in London.   She is a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (class 27), attended the WICT Senior Executive Summit at Stanford Graduate School of Business (2016, 2018), served as Director of Partnerships for WICT Southeast Chapter Board (2013-2015), and is a member of the Duke Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee in Atlanta, GA. She and her husband, Ryan, live in Atlanta with their two children Eliza and Jack.
